The Last Rites of Benjamin Hill

A routine drive home through southern New Mexico becomes a desperate race against time when Jack learns that nuclear missiles are striking the United States. As civilization unravels around him, he fights to reach his family, discovering that in the face of catastrophe, hope may be the last thing left standing.

When nuclear war erupts without warning, a husband races across the New Mexico desert to return to the people he loves. Amid fear, loss, and the collapse of the world he once knew, he clings to the one thing that refuses to die—hope.

After a failed bank robbery leaves him mortally wounded in the Arizona desert, outlaw Benjamin Hill is rescued by an aging Catholic priest. As death draws near, Benjamin must confront his past, seek redemption, and discover whether God's mercy can reach even the most lost soul.

Wide vertical shot of an abandoned adobe mission facade in the Sonoran desert, crumbling plaster revealing mud brick, a narrow bell-tower arch against a flat gray overcast sky, no people, no warm light, environmental desolation
